This series is dedicated to helping our community get to know the dedicated and selfless human beings that keep Magnificent Mutts Rescue running.

1) How long have you been with Magnificent Mutts?
Adopted my first Mag Mutt, Nutter, in 2015. Brought home my first foster in 2016.
2) As a volunteer, what do you do for MM?
My family and I foster mainly puppies. Also try to make Angela smile at Saturday events 🙂
3) What is your favorite, or most memorable MM experience or story?
Poop. Lots of poop. But also when we fostered Clora one of Mag Mutts first Korean meat market rescues. She was so scared and so timid. Took weeks for her to allow us to approach her. Then one day I was watering the lawn and she started running through the water again and again and wagging her tail. Probably the first time in her life she was happy.
4) Do you have a favorite dog breed or dog type?
Weimaraners!! We enjoy all dogs though 🙂 I mean we currently have a chi mix so….
5) What are your hobbies or what do you like to do for fun?
My husband, son, and I enjoy nature so we garden and raise butterflies in the summer.
6) What advice would you give adopters?
Be patient. Don’t send your dog away for training. You’re the one who needs the training. If you’re not an experienced dog owner, don’t skip training classes.
7) Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Hate mornings. I have no idea how I am a teacher.
8) If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Love to travel. Too many places to name all on my wish list. Maybe visit my father’s birthplace in present day Serbia (Yugoslavia).
9) When you were little, what did you want to grow up to be? Are you currently in that profession, or a related field?
Veterinarian. Then realized I can’t deal with the neglected and abused animals. Used my Biology degree to become a teacher.
10) Tell us your favorites…
- song, artist, or type of music
80s music - tv show or movie
Don’t watch TV really but when my kids and I are on school breaks together we binge watch entire series. We last watched Dexter. - food
Anything sweet! - sport or sports team
Used to be a die hard soccer fan. Then after kids, whatever they were playing, I was coaching and their team became my favorite team 🙂 - book
All of them!
