This series is dedicated to helping our community get to know the dedicated and selfless human beings that keep Magnificent Mutts Rescue running.

1) How long have you been with Magnificent Mutts? I’ve been with Mag Mutts for close to 10 years. I first met Linda because I needed a rescue to take in one of my strays. Linda asked “Will you foster?” She’s been stuck with me ever since.
2) As a volunteer, what do you do for MM? I’ve fostered countless dogs. I do transports from airports, shelters, and even from other states. I handle dogs at events, especially the ones that are difficult and need a little extra guidance. I pick up donated pet food and supplies in my Yukon and in my company truck. I’ve helped coordinate pet microchip and vaccination events. I also advise/assist in locating and humanely trapping lost foster dogs and alumni pets.
3) What is your favorite, or most memorable MM experience or story? Probably dressing as Mutzy and taking food and gifts to homeless pet owners on Christmas a couple years ago.
Also, having LL and MC by my side when I lost Joel, my other half, is something I’ll never forget. They drove to the hospital and stayed with me into the night. Magnificent Mutts was there for Joel and I. We support each other because we are a family.
4) Do you have a favorite dog breed or dog type? “Mutts” , of course. All dogs are special.
5) What are your hobbies or what do you like to do for fun? I like relaxing at home with adult coloring books, and hanging out with my furkids.
6) What advice would you give adopters? Give your new family member time to adjust. Don’t expect a perfect fit from day one. Give them time and space.
7) Are you a morning person or a night owl? Mornings should be canceled due to lack of interest.
8) If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would love to visit Hawaii and Alaska.
9) What is something about Magnificent Mutts that you want people to know? Magnificent Mutts Rescue is one of the few rescues that gives back to the community. A lot of the pet food and supplies that the rescue receives goes to those in need. I usually have a few bags of dog food in my car for anyone that needs it.
10) Tell us your favorites…
Music: I like all music but my favorite is rock.
TV: I enjoy watching Chicago Med, Fire and PD.
Favorite sport: Basketball.
